Rear "C O R V E T T E" letter spacing?
I would like to ask anyone with a 74 or 75 if they would be kind enough to measure the overall width of their CORVETTE letters on the rear bumper. I want to try to make a template with the correct spacing for the prongs on the back of the lettters so I can have the body shop drill the holes before they paint the bumper. They filled in the recesses and have no way of lining up the letters. Do you think that double-side tape would hold if i were to grind off the prongs?

On my 75, all letters are 1 inch across with 1 inch in between each letter. 8 letters and 7 spaces add up to 15 inchs total. Hope that helps you. Hershey :chevy

Sorry I don't have a ruler handy but this is how the overall letter package should be located relative to the tail lights, height above center etc.
