Paul 75 L82

I went to the Corvette Club of the Palm Beaches meeting last night. Really its just a bunch of C4s & C5s. They gave me a copy of their current newsletter and it had Corvette Trival questions. One of the questions was - What was the highest MPH Speedo used on the 75 Vette. Of the four options, 140 mph was the highest. Well, Heck mine has an 160 mpn speedo and from doing my interior restoration I can tell you it was orginial. Did all 75s have the 160 mph speedo or only the L82's? Did all L82's have the 160 mph? Can't wait to hear from everyone on this.

Yes, '75s had 160mph speedometers. Just out of curiousity when was the last 160mph speedometer offered in the C3 body style? I'm inclined to say '77 or '78 was the last year but am unsure.

Yes, 77 was the last year of 160 mph. The way to remember some of these things is that you know 77 was last year of the original 68 design.

In 78 besides the obvious fastback glass was a new interior w/ new 140 speedo/tach. setup.

Yup, pretty sure mine's got the 160 tach, although I think it's a little optimistic, especially with the cat converter :crazy:
