Measurments for body mounts and suspension points on frame
Hey guys,
I 'm looking into designing and possibly building a tube chassis for the vette. I need a new frame and the prices I have seen are ridiculous($1700 USD for a frame from a burnt up car).
So If anybody has the suspension attachment points and the body mount pointsIt would make my life super easy. If I can get these, the rest of the chassis should be simple as this is what I am edumucated to do.
Anybody know who built the frame for the corvette? Was it GM or Hayes- Dana(now Dana Corporation)?
Thanks a lot!
Mike

Frank, Thanks for the picture. this should get me started, the rest of the measurements I can probably get on the car.
Jim, Let me design and build the first one, then I'll think about building another. I somehow think i might be getting in a bit over my head on the fabrication side of things but you never know until you try...... right?
See ya later
