Default Replacing vacuum break assembly on 74 Q-jet

I ordered a new vacuum break assembly (choke pull-off) from GM and was suprised to see it did not come with the bracket that mounts it to the carb. The new assembly has a rectangular shaped mount, that locks into the factory bracket. My questions is how do I get the old one apart, does it just twist out or do I need to spread the bracket apart and insert the new part and try to squeeze the bracket back together.

Yer, you got it! that's what you have to do, spread the bracket a little. Kinda like stuff that is crimped together. It is easy though. :yesnod:
