I am in the process of making a site dedicated to the 1981 Vette, and I figured before I put the site on the net, that I would go ahead and get some pics in the owner's gallery. So if you have a '81 vette, send me some pics and a little info about the car, and I'll put on there. You can either post them here, or e-mail it to me at: webmaster@corvettemaster.com
THANKS!!! :seeya :seeya :seeya :seeya :seeya

This sounds great!! There doesn't seem to be much going for the poor little '81's.
Mine is pretty much stock. New stereo will be going in this Spring, along with some new Monza mufflers. It is a GM Canada car, with "aboot" 83,000 KM on it. Previous owner had it painted about 3 years ago, and also installed a Monza exhaust which is loud loud loud!! (Thus the reasoning behind a new "kinder, gentler" muffler system this Spring)
That's about it. Good Luck with the project, and keep us informed!!! :seeya

Sounds like a winner to me.
Just purchased my 81 and am presently trying to get it back in shape.
Needs alot of TLC. especially on the inside which I am in the process of redoing now. Mostly stock from what I can tell but it does have true dual exhaust and the fan clutch was replaced with a flex fan.A/C was taken off and all the smog junk was removed. I definitely have my work cut out for me but it'll all be worth it in the end.

Hey Shark Tank, what happened to your web site. I heard you were having host problems a couple months back. Never got resolved?
Would love to get ahold of some of the info and articles you had posted. I'd be willing to put most of it up on my site if it was available. There were some great articles there.
Joe..

Keep 'em coming. As posted above, there isn't much info on the '81 Vettes, so I decided to put all the info I have together on one site. Hoping to have it up soon. Here are some of the stuff that will be on there:
model options, model highlights, color options, owner's gallery, tech tips, restoration, L-81 info, '81 vette articles, vin decoder, sales brochures, and more.
All I can think of right now. If anyone has any more suggestions of stuff to include, or has any info I can use, post it. I am currently trying to find some old 81 Corvette Articles. I am going through all my old magazines trying to find some to scan, but can't find any. I was thinking I saw in an old Car Craft mag, an article of the 1980 L-82 vs. the 1981 L-81. I am trying to find it now. Anyone have any old articles scanned I can use?

I will try to get a few more pics together of my '81 and send you a link to them. I manage several commerical servers with lots of space and you can link my pics from there.... My "play" server only has about 499 megs free on it, let me know if you run out of space and need image hosting.

Thanks. Long story but I'll try and make it short enough so you don't fall asleep. I was having major problems getting Networksolutions to transfer the domain, I finally got fed up with those idiots and waited for it to expire but they held onto it so I couldn't register it with someone else. Then when I finally get around to being able to re-register it some scumbag used car place got the domain and is using the link to drive traffic to their site for anyone looking for the old Shark Tank...that really pissed me off(I'm still considering a nasty letter to that weasel). I'm planning to put the site back up, it's just a matter of time as I'm in the middle of doing a 383 install, working and going to school full time.

Corvette Master,
Check out the L81 Vette Registry. Its a great site with some really great people I think we had over 140 members at last count. Might save you some time and I know Rare81 & Ksems could use a little help with the site. Give it a try.

My wifes 81 is a daily driver with 80,500 original. We just had it repainted orig. grey. The silver
leather interior is ready to be redone. I enjoy working on the older ones. She loves the way the
"Shark" bites back. Good luck with the sight.
