Default Fine tuning a Demon

I really want to get the most out of my engine. Other than a Dyno "Any good ones in C. Ca?" What are my other optinns for getting the carb down to a gnats hindquarters? I know my mech can get close w/ experience, but that takes time and money that I don't want to spend. What about O2 sensor? My 74 has duals w/ no cats. Is the voice of experience out there? HELP!

Hers's what I did. Went up one step on the power valve. Went to a lighter spring on the vac secondaries. Set your 4 corner idle screws with a vac gage and set them at the highest reading. Make sure your timing is right as this is probally the biggest thing that you can do to make your carb feel right.
