Default Whats happened to Speedvision?

I love watching Speedvision, but lately everytime I flip over there is some infomercial on. This sux. I don`t give a rip about RONCO, or getting my abs flat. That is not why I watch Speedvision. Show me some speed. And as far as that goes I see that in Feb. they are changing the name to Speed. Must have something to do with the FOX takeover.

Thanks for the vent,

Now back to our regularly scheduled infomercial.

I noticed this too, so before I switch the channel to speed vision, I pull up the guide menue(digital cable), and make sure it doesn't say "paid program".

It's now called "The Speed Channel", and controversial changes are probably included.

They should just call it the nascar channel, because that's what it's going to be. Not that I have any problem with nascar, but I like speedvisions programming.

And how about the bobsledding on Speedvision? No offense to bobsledding, but who wants to see that when you could see blown big blocks?

Word is that when they rename it SPEEDCHANNEL in February, they're going all NASCAR. I can get enough circle racing elsewhere. It's Dream Car Garage, Muscle Car, Classic Car, the Barrett-Jackson Stuff and Hot Rod TV that make it worthwhile. And of course any vette stuff. Where we gonna go for that?

I did like the Rally car action last night. Those guys are nuts. Hauling ash down a mountain road barely in control.

Got to love the in car video action.

I had speedvision when i was home over christmas break and in less than a month i saw the same lawnmower race which seemed like 4 or 5 times.
It was kind of intersting the first time but after that it was pointless they could have at least showed a diffrent race each time.

As a SCCA member I enjoyed watching the GT series and the other SCCA events on speedvision. I guess that will be coming to an end. :(

I love Speedvision as well, mostly for Dream Car Garage, Muscle Car, Classic Car, the Barrett-Jackson auctions, etc. These shows have a limited target audience though, so they're probably not bringing in the number of viewers that they want. The bottom line is money. NASCAR (unfortunately) will bring viewers in. Nothing personal againt NASCAR but I can catch that on TNN anytime during this season if I were a fan.

I agree with most of the comments here. We need to let Speedvision know how we feel.

Send an emial to programming@speedvision.com and let them know how you feel!!!
