stress cracks
I have a stress crack about 1" long on the front driver's side fender. Do you have any suggestions about what I should do to keep it from getting worst? Should I take it to a body shop and get them to repair it?

Depends on where it is. Stress cracks around the hood opening -especially at the forward corners and around the headlight openings are common and tend to stabilize. If it's somewhere else, I'd be looking for a cause such as frame or suspension problems.
Wherever it is, I'd measure the crack and then measure it again in a month to see if it's growing.
Repairs will be messy since you will have to grind down into the original fiberglass and then build up with new mat and resin. Often additional mats should be placed on the underside. These repairs are best done with a complete repaint.
