Default Carb Question, 2 front set screws on a GM stock Carb. ? ? ?

When adjusting the 2 front set screws , what are they adjusting. The idle or how rich or lean the fuel mix. is at all speeds.

Idle mixture screws, do affect the transition.

You are adjusting the air/fuel mix at idle. Typically screw each in all the way, then back out 2-2.5 rounds. This will make it half-way close, but then use an O2 meter to really optimize it. The old way was to hook up a vacuum gauge on the manifold and maximize vacuum to achieve the best operating idle. Hope it helps.
