Default A few paint questions

I have a 99 coupe in Arctic White.

Needed to replace the front clip about a year-and-a-half ago due to a minor parking lot accident.

Problem is, the paint job looked great but was not very durable and flakes like sunburned skin if you look at it crosseyed. I've got several spots on the lower part of it where the underlying black fiberglass is exposed because the paint has chipped or peeled due to conact with speed bumps, small rocks, etc.etc.

My questions:

1. What should I expect to pay to repaint the front clip?

2. Can anyone recommend a reputable place to do it in Central or Southern NJ?

3. Is there anyway to have it done and be more durable?

Thanks!

Default Re: A few paint questions (jmoran)

Around here my guess would be $2000 plus. Any paint work around here is like gold, and the fact that your front end probably needs to be stripped, then repainted makes the body shop thieves (I mean owners) :D really see the dollar signs. Geez, and on a 99' too. That has got to really suck to have to have the front end of a C5 painted not only once, but twice. Good luck.
