Eckler's Richmond trans conversion kits?
They offer a Richmond 6 speed conversion for C4s with the 4+3 trans, but offer a no overdrive 5 speed conversion for C3s. Is the Richmond 6 speed trans that much different from their 5 speed to cause problems for C3s?

I just finished doing this. The 6 spd requires fabricating on the cross member. The drive shaft needs shortned. There are a few other things involved. I wish I could remeber the site that gives complete instructions. I believe it is the Idaho Corvette web site. If you do a search you wil find a lot of info on this forum. :chevy

Check out this thread, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=218566 There are two guys who went two different directions installing a 6 speed in their cars. GWHITE75 went with a T-56 and MassVett went with the Richmond Gears, both seem very satisfied with the conversion.

Thanks, I saw the thread, but missed those pics from MassVette. The 502 with the Richmod looks like lots of fun. :D
