for one axle € 160,00

Calipers in red with scripting “mov´it” free of charge

In Germany you need TÜV-separate, in your land we don’t know something about the law.

Iinstallation you can do also by yourself or an working station, you need between 4 - 5 hours
for one axle. The kits are preassembelde to make installation easier. The parking brake works
as before.

4-piston- aluminium calipers guarantee extreme braking force since they are developed for heavy street cars, not light race cars. The unsprung weight is reduced by using highest grade aluminium alloy.

A unique ventilation system with a surface nearly twice as big as a normal disc guarantees
absolut fading free operation, also under extreme conditions on the track or for heavy security
cars.

Our brake kits offer highest quality with maximum braking force and highest fading resistance.
The lifetime of the wear items is by far higher then any other product on the market. It is nearly unpossible to bring these brake kits to the limit. Absolute no fading !!

All items are produced on our modern in-house CNC working stations, using highest grade
steel or aluminium alloy, under water- ultra sound tested and coated to prevent corrosion.

If you have further questions do not hesitate to contact us !

Best regards

mov’it

Jay, 16% tax! Ouch!

Sounds like a great upgrade if it will fit with your wheels.

groovyjay,
They arn`t "bashful" are they?? I believe the "correct" brakes are already on your car, you just have to "massage"them a little. You need the right pistons, rotors, pads, some brake ducting and the better fluid. The J-56 stuff, including the caliper bracket stiffeners. i`m sure you`ll never find it in Europe but it is still available here although somewhat expensive.

Steve, the 3.300 EURO can be converted by multiplying by approx. 0.9 which equals around 3.000 US $.
You don´t pay the tax in USA, 16% is for Germany only.
USA also has their sales tax, don´t you???

Jay is right, this system is a real powerhouse!
The calipers are from BREMBO, Italy and are used in cars like Porsche 996 turbo, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Lamborghini Murcielago etc........

Yes, most places have sales taxes (Delaware doesn't) Texas, where I live we do, it runs from 6.25% to 9%. This is state and local taxes. We don't have a State income tax. This is either a good thing or a bad thing. I'm still trying to figure out which it is. State income taxes are deductible from your Federal income taxes, but most sales taxes are not deductible.

one real quick question... where do you have to pay 16% tax? must be canadian! i thought that force 10 system was expensive! when i finally get my wilwood system engineered for my '81, i'll let you know, and i'll bet it doesn't cost three grand!

oh! and by the way, if you want to cure "fading" brakes in a c-3. you don't need to replace the entire brake system. i autocross and road race my '81 a bunch and the brakes don't fade. what you need are good pads, good fluid, braided lines and lots of cooling. they might not stop as well as some 13" rotor/caliper setup, but they don't fade.

Actually the sales tax in Finland is 22% so the German 16% is cheap

One theory question: if the brake pad surface area remains the same, what effect does enlarging the rotor diameter have??

The heat generated where the pads contact the rotor is quickly transfered through all of the surrounding metal. A larger rotor has more contact with the air, so it spreads the heat out and allows it to be transferred to air faster.

Makes sense, thanks!

There could be a benefit of quicker cooler with a larger rotor but doesn't it have to do with the mechanical advantage the larger diameter has. The radius from the center is increased so the braking force is also increased. If you have to move a 1000 pound rock and use a 5 foot bar you have to exert 200 pounds force, if you use a 10 foot bar you exert 100 pounds etc etc. This same effect comes into play with larger diameter rotors

JOE: Yeah I know it's big pile of cash, but nothing's too good for my vette ;) . I've rebuild my brakes first with factory specs, didn't like'em then I upgraded them with VB&P stuff nothing fancy improvements either, so next thing is going to be Mov'it stuff and if that doesn't satisfy me then help lord! :D
I just got more info about the install and they're saying I can go even bigger diamater brake disk than stated in the first post!
As for looks these are going to be killer looking good lurking behind my 20" AR TT II2s!
And if you go to their website you'll find pictures of one of their kits installed on 82 Collectors edition, so this should be bolt-on job!

smokehouse69: Like 454Big mentioned:EURO can be converted by multiplying by approx. 0.9

redvetracr: Thanks for your input, unfortunately I've already been there and than that. I was using best stuff from Vettebrakes with best DOT4 fluid, pads, new rubber hoses. Still after few quick laps brakes were gone and it took long time to cool them down. With BIG brake disk I don't have to worry about the cooling down part all that much. And as I'm looking for better brakes I've the car for over 12 years now and generally the brakes are good (can't argue with four piston set up from the factory), but after driven friends Porche 911 turbo I've allways wanted something like that, the braking fell is just unbelievable:eek:. After I saw what Mov'it has to offer, I haven't been able to think anything else!

427V8: If I'd gone with stock wheels I would've gone with Willwood set up. But now I've ordered 20" wheels so mind as well use that extra diameter for bigger brake disks. And I'm doing my car for once and for good so I'm not going to settle for less.
BTW how do you like those willwoods? Any pros and cons about them? What kind of pads are you using?:)

454Big: Thanks for your input as well. Like you said Brembo makes the calibers and like most of us know many major racing teams like in Formula1, rally etc are using Brembo, so that can't be a bad thing can it?:)

clutchdust: I know tha autocrossing really takes the brakeing system to the limit, but I've spend my fair share on local race tracks abusing my car to its limit and I can guarentee that after few fast laps they are completely numb. That's the reason I'm looking for something else now.;)

Tomi72: Bigger diameter disk gives you way better cooling system for one thing.
