Default Help me ID this gm crate motor please?

It was in my vette when I got it 2 years ago. The casting numbers is 14093638. The engine code is v0527f. I guess that means it was made in Flint on 5/27. I need to know everything else. HP/torque/model number? Thank you very much.

The Mortec site, http://www.mortec.com , shows that block casting to be a 87-95 350ci engine with one piece rear seal.

The engine code is missing some info. The suffix should be three letters. You are correct about the Flint plant and the 5/27 build date. Check the casting date on the block to get the year. The Corvette Black Book shows that block being used in the Vetter from 87 till 91. All those engines has a suffix starting with Z plus two more letters.

So looks as if you have a late classic chevy small block engine. Does it have the center bolt valve covers?

Yes it does have the centerbolts. Could it be the gm goodwrench motor that sells for $1300.P/N 10067353 ? Or a variation of that? Thanks

All I've been able to find for that casting number is a 350 with 2 or 4 bolt mains mfd from 87-95 which means they were used so many places you would need more info like head or intake casting numbers to help further id when it was made and if it is a generic one (2 bolt) or a hiperf one (4 bolt). Head casting # would be on the head under the valve cover and the intake # would be at the rear of the intake just in front of the dist hole. Even then, you may not be able to pin it down.

Are there any other numbers on the stamp pad other then the build date? Just wondering if it has a "CE" code. Something like CE23456?
