Default CANADIAN CORVETTES

Could someone tell me how they decide how many cars are produced for import to Canada. Is it so many per dealer {example My 1979} would that mean an import would be rare compaired to an American vette. I think I ment export to Canada. And how would someone find how many where exported by year.

Ken,
Call GM Canada and ask for George Zapora. He handles all of the records for this type of information. I called him shortly after getting my Corvette (2,684 1981's were exported) and for about $40 he will send you a nice report on your car. Sorry I don't seem to have the phone number anymore, but he's not hard to track down.
Hope this helps!!!

his number is: (905) 644-6040. By the way, have any of you ever run acroos an original owners information package for a '69? I'm wondering what was different from the US package.

In 1979 there were 5,535 Corvettes exported to Canada. Of those, 1,607 were L-82s. This info from GM Canada (George Zapora).

I've got some of the numbers for 69 and 71...

1969..................610 Coupes
1971..................823 Coupes

We ought to try to get a list going from everybody who has the documentation from George. Apparently, no counts with engine information is available until 1972, when each engine caused the car to have a unique VIN.
