Transmission or Exhaust problem
I have an 81 with a 3 speed automatic transmission.
I emptied all the pellets out of my Cat, and I drove around for about 45 minutes and everything was working fine, then I went and picked up a new grounding cable for my starter, I put that on, then when I got on the freeway going about 65 my car started to kind of buck, I put it in neutral and pulled off to the side.
Now my car bucks whenever I try to accelerate to fast, or whenever I start moving from a stop I've gotten it up to 60 without bucking. When the car is in Neutral or Park I can rev it up all the way as fast as I want without a problem.
So is this a bad trasmission, or is it something I did to my exhaust?

Re: Transmission or Exhaust problem (Ben Taylor)
When it bucks it makes a sound that might be coming from the engine compartment, but I'm not certain, I just changed my fuel filter and that didn't make a difference.

First, I think I'd double check that cable and make sure it's connected securely and not rubbing against anything and maybe grounding out.
Second, I'd disconnect the CC and take it for a test drive.
Good Luck.
