Default driveshaft question for those with 700R4's in their cars...

I am about to have the driveshaft work done for my 700r4 that I put in my 78'

My question is... What are you guys using for Ujoints? The 700R4 yoke I have (Out of an 1982 vette) is a different size than the Ujoint from the TH400 driveshaft that was in my car..

Is it posible for a driveshaft shop to take part of my 1982 driveshaft, and part of the 78' (Not sure if the driveshaft is actually 78' since it has a th400 in it)
driveshaft and make one? This way I would by ujoint from an 82' for the front, and a ujoint for a 78' in the back?

What did you guys do?

thanks

-Bill

What you need is called a "transition U-Joint" a good drive-shaft shop should be able to fix up in short order with the right part number.
