Default New Shift **** for C3 Auto?

Does anyone know of a supplier that offers a different shift **** for the C3 to replace the black ball? I see all kinds of stuff for other vettes, but I can't find anything for the C3.

Also, when I remove the chrome plunger from the shifter, I can't get the black ball off. Is there a trick to this or do I just need to apply more force? Haven't pulled too hard, since I don't want to break anything.

Thanks,
TJ

I know on mine you have to unscrew the black ball. Have you tried to turn it counter clockwise yet????

The black shifter **** unscrews same as the chrome lock-out button. As for aftermarkets *****...I have never seen any that is a direct fit for the C3's.

This is not a great pic but the chrome ball looks very nice. I got mine from Eckler's.

TJ,
The black ball just unscrews off. I have never seen any replacement for it though. I have also never looked for one, so keep looking.

If it's anything like mine was, it sure won't just screw off. I ended up having to put a pipe wrench on the thing and though it finally came off, it was a little scarred up in the process. I found a very nice walnut **** with a Silver Anniversary button on ebay & paid $8 for it.

Rik's corvettes has chrome ones for $18 (that is what they cost last year anyway) http://www.Flameball.com is also working on a replacement for C3s.

There were a lot of people talking about them last year, but nothing new yet. Kind of different though :D
