Soory about some of the quality - I get my stuff from lots of different sources that while generous are not all gifted with the best hardware and software. :blueangel:

Even from China, SuperFast80, you can imagine my smile. C2 and C3 big block Corvettes hold a special place in my heart.....but most any of the solid-lifter small-blocks have their own special appeal too.

I have always felt that only one other marque would ever stand a chance of pulling me away from my C2.....and that's a real mid-sixties AC Cobra with 427-425HP. Not a kit car....but the real thing. Approximately the same horsepower as the L-72, L-71, L-71/L-89, but around 700-800 lbs LIGHTER. And, you're sitting low in that beautiful low-sided roadster. Hmmmmmmmm.......maybe even a kit (but has to be a big block...no 289's)

Sweet ride.

Yeah right, I'm sure there's lots of guys that took their 427s out and replaced them with small block chevys.

Great Article. Thanks for posting. I guess the part about this being the last front engine Corvette were a little off the mark. Anyway, I enjoyed reading how the Corvette outperformed the European sports cars of the time.
