Default Can drooping T-Top headliner be fixed

One of my t-top headliners is sagging down around the edges. Other than that it's in good condition. Is there anything that can be done to get back to the original shape so it fits better?

Check to make sure those "velcro" type things are still there. I believe that is what holds the edges on.

Mine are in good shape also, other then being curved. I think I'm going to have to order new ones tho.

The velco pads tend to pull out, might need to rerivet them.

Yes the velcro fasteners are there, but the edges will not push up to reach them. I didn't know if anyone knew a secret to getting the panels back to the original shape.

Actually mine are really bowed. I've tried everything I can think of to flatten them out a little but so far nothing works.

Heat, as in a hair dryer might work.

One of mine is sagging down too. The clip broke off from the lining between the panel and the top itself. I've tried so many glues and nothing would hold.

take the liner off, place it face down on a flat surface with a towel to cover it, then put a cast iron intake manifold on the center of it and let it sit for a day or two... flatten right out.. i did it to mine and it worked fine since

Hello
I have freshly dyed t top liners. The originals from my 78. They also have all new velcro type things on them (those kits are high for round pieces of plastic. My interior was midnight blue but could be dyed any color with the correct primer. E mail me at http://www.abadcorvet@aol.com if your interested.
Thanks

I had the same problem with one of my T-tops even after I purchased 2 new headliners. Tried everything to keep it connected (heated it up with a hairdrier, place weights on it, etc.), it just would not stay attached at the back. Was not too annoying while in the car, but the passenger could see a large gap (approx. 1"). :mad My solution: Fabricated a 3rd bracket similiar to the ones GM used on the sides and made a slit very very cautiously in the back of the headliner and slid in the sheet metal bracket. Then I installed the headliner into the T-top and drilled a small hole in the semi-vertical section of the T-top. Fastened the bracket to the T-top using a "sheet metal" screw. I know its not factory and some would even say I was a "bubba", but hey the headliner stays up now and their are no screws showing. :D
