DO I need a new oil pan
I'm trying to piece together and price a new motor. I'm hoping to build it so I can rev to 6,000 rpm. Will I need a bigger oil pan, Hi perf oil pump and windage tray. Can I use a std oil pump with my oil pan and just add a windage tray. Anybody know what comes on the zz4 crate motor. Thats sort of what I'm loosly basing mine on.

Re: DO I need a new oil pan (TTop Tony)
Nevermind. I think I'm overkilling this. the XE262 and heads I'm looking at peak at about 5500 rpm. So why am I killing myself to go 6000. Even the ZZ4 peaks at 5500 rpm.

its not a bad idea to install one with nice baffles and a crank scrapper, good insurance for going high rpms and turning at the same time
