Default [Early C3 Guys]Steering Wheel Swap, Opinions?

Hey Guys...
I currently have the stock steering wheel in my '69. I like the looks, but not the 'skinny' feel of it. I was thinking about going with the leather wrap 3-spoke style from the later sharks. They definately have a sportier feel to them.
Any thoughts from the shark community on this?
I haven't seen this done for myself and I'm wondering if the wheel would look out of place in my '69 or not.

I have had a three-spoke leather wrapped wheel (black grip & spokes) on my 72 since I first restored it in 1984. It was purchsed from Eckler's and has held up very well. I think it modernizes the cockpit a little bit and most people not in the know think it is the original wheel. I replaced the original for the same reason you mentioned but I do have it tucked away in a box for safe keeping. No pics handy of the 3-spoke, but I might be able to take some this weekend.

I just replaced the broken skinny on my 70 with another skinny. I wondered the same thing that you did. The only thing with going with a later steering wheel is that it is going to be smaller. Not a problem if you have power steering though. Later smaller wheel would only make it harder to turn while going through slow manuvers.

 Wow! Nice pictures guys, thanks. Makes it easier to decide-the wheel definitely looks at home in the early sharks.
Thanks again...
