Books/internet sites comparing different years of C3?
#1
Newbie looking to get info. about and eventually purchase a "newer" C3
I'm just starting in my quest to buy a Corvette. My main interest is the C3, with newer cars (towards '82) being preferred over older cars. 1982 is, of course, my ideal year.
I was wondering: can anyone provide me with some information about what a beginner should be looking for concerning the C3? Some of my areas of question are:
-expected prices and mileage (I'm hoping for $12K-$14K for 40K-60K miles)
-availability of getting one (I live in Nebraska, if that matters at all)
-any other important information that would be useful to know
-any Interent sites/books comparing all of the different years of the C3, so that I can decide if '82 is actually what I want (i'm looking for comparisons of HP, weight, mileage, etc.)
Being relatively new to Corvettes, I pretty much know nothing, so any info. would be extremely appreciated.
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help a beginner like me with his quest to own his dream car!

Aside from from the seminal Black Book, this is a good reference source. If it is performance you are after, contact SuperFast80. He has a lot of info.

Re: (45ACP)
This is mostly "production facts", ie the options and numbers produced with each option, but also includes a short blurb about each year that highlights major changes. MJ
