Summit racing sells firebottles loaded with Halon 1211 (NHRA Approved)
In your opinion is one 5 lbs bottle system enough? What other systems have you seen?

Isn't Halon really bad for Us? Is it just for the engine compartment? We have a Halon system in the Paint Kitchen of the plant I work at and we were told if the system goes off when you are in it, you are dead, it takes all of the oxygen away.

If your given the choice of breathing fire or breathing an atmosphere with a lack of oxygen. I'd take halon. Blowing white powder all over the interior isn't good for your vision or breathing either.
I'd think that CO2 would be good because of cooling effect

George,
I am pretty sure both my cars have the 5lb bottle. The odds are low you will have a fire in the drivers area. I removed the nozzle pointing at my feet
after a tech inspector asked me to do so. My nozzles are pointed from the firewall foreward (near the middle) for a possible carb fire and one is pointed at the top of the fuel cell. ....redvetracr
