Default Valve cover spacers

Currently I am running roller rockers on my 350, with the tall chrome valve covers. I have the original finned aluminum valve covers, and really prefer the looks of them, but they won't clear the rocker arms. Jegs has a set of valve cover spacers that it says will allow you to use your original valve covers with modified drive trains. But these things are $90!!!

Is there a cheaper alternative???

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't know how much of a spacer you need. I use Fel Pro FPP-1604 valve cover gaskets. They are steel core with cork on both sides. It gave me the clearance I needed. I had to mill down the drippers in the valve covers to about 1/2 the original height also. I am using Comp Cams roller tips not full roller rockers

There are extra thick cork gaskets, you could stack 2 or 3 depending on how much you need to gain
