Ok I need to buy a new distributor for my 1973 350 non A/C coupe. It needs to have the mechanical tach drive as well. What do you guys recommend? Single points, dual points, ignition boxes? What brands are the best? I really know nothing about distributors so I need your helps guys with this one!
Thanks,

Do you "need" a new distributor or "want" a different distributor. Lars rebuilt mine and recurved it for me. The shaft was shot among other problems. I don't have a heavily modified engine and the Lars rebuild was exactly what I needed. Performance is greatly improved.

Lars rebuilt mine as well. Very Happy :yesnod: with the recurve and she runs great. A lot cheaper than an MSD setup

I have a Mallory Unilite (Summit part# MAA-3864501) pointless distributor with tach dive and adjustable mechanical advance only. It is real easy to set up and seems to work well. I've heard some complaints about them on the Forum, but so far-so good. It cost like $370, but it was on the car when I bought it. Looks trick!

Thanks for the great advice guys. 1 more question, do I need to have the MSD ignition box with the MSD distributor, or will it work without it?
