If I recall the only difference between the big and small block was that they used caps instead of straps on the ujoints. The shaft size did not change. They did go to bigger half shafts in some later years but I posted this question a few weeks ago and was told that the strenth difference was minimal. Some even said the bigger tubes used a thinner wall tubing. The small block LT1 cars also used the caps instead of straps. Would they fit sure they would but the side yolks are different when using straps instead of caps.
