Front emblem measurements.
When I installed my new front clip on the car there were no holes for the front emblem to mount on to,the one between the headlights.Does anyone have the measurements so that I can drill two new holes.

Well, I looked in the few references I have for my '77 and nothing showed measurements, sorry.
The AIM did have the instructions about heating the emblems, and sticking them on, and how much force they must withstand, and on and on, but the only measurement I could figure out was the hole diameter, not the placement of the holes.
Maybe someone else can do better, or another '79 owner can figure out a good way to measure it.

I just replaced mine about 6 months ago. I'll try to get some measurements on it and let you know. Also, the fender emblems may not have locator pins like the front and tank door emblems, just adhesive.

Here's my measurements:
From the upper corner of the rearmost flag tip to the rear edge of the fender: 7.75 inches (19.685 centimeters).
From the bottom of the "flagpoles" to the top edge of the fender vent: 2.125 inches (5.3975 centimeters).

As I've got my bumper, etc removed I had a look while I was lying under the car last night - no holes, the emblem is just glued on ('81).
