The #'s are in! 09 ZR1 ARH Custom Exhaust and Vette Drs Custom Tune 598RWHP 549RWTQ
Nicky and Jose fabricated an 1 7/8 inch header, custom X pipe and free flowing cats for the car. With some basic tuning with EFI Live (not wanting to push this beast just yet since it only has 200 miles on it) and the 1 7/8 header the car made 598RWHP 549RWTQ! The Dyno sheet shows over 40 RWHP and almost 50 RWTQ over the entire power band! Incredible!!
Here is the dyno sheet:
We also tried an 1/34 header which should a significant loss over the larger header. The larger header is the way to go.
We have left a lot more power on the table with the tune as again I only pulled the car a couple times on the dyno with the new ARH exhaust system and left a very conservative tune in it. Thanks again to Chad for getting me the software. The EFI Live software for the 09 ZR1 worked great. I personally drove the car after I tuned the car and I can say this thing runs great!
We have another customer picking up their new ZR1 next week. He is looking for an even more aggressive package. We are working on a custom pulley system and air box, both should really help this beast reach its full potential. I can tell you now that replacing the pulley is not going to be as easy as it is on a Magnusson but we think it will be possible with some creative designing.
Here are several pictures of the install:

Outstanding!
Hahaha, I love how you guys just fab up some headers and custom exhaust - there are some really talented folks working in the modern tuning industry.
Any measurements to determine any additional heat?

But at that level it won't last. However for much less than the 107K price tag of the ZR1 not including the dealers additional mark up, you could add a forged stroker engine and then you can easily exceed the ZR1s performance level. But then again it still won't be a ZR1 but you will make more power for much less.

And add the upgraded MRC...
Offset your weight distribution by adding the procharger...
Get 500+rwtq at 3k rpm...
Add the cooling that the ZR1 has - the oil squirters in the block probably aren't cheap to add to your ride...
It's not a 40k premium over a C6 for an LS3 with a supercharger, its an entirely different animal. Just read a couple reviews about the ride, how the chassis performs on the track and on the street, and how this engine pulls like a freight train from idle.

Regardless, the ZR1 is a "bargain" if you SPECIFICALLY NEED a road course race car with a factory warranty. If you don't specifially need BOTH a road course race car AND a factory warranty in one vehicle, you can find a much better "bargain" elsewhere.

The ZR1 is built built for road racing not straight line performance, but I am sure that you already are aware of this, given your experience.
The ZR1 is a total package. Body, Suspension, Brakes, motors and refined interior. I don't really care for the hood with the blower showing and all of the carbon fiber parts.
Overall, It's a great car, just a little pricey.

With over 500rwtq at 3k, I'm impressed. Thanks for sharing the info and results.
550/500 with a factory warranty is great but at 107k you can blow the engine twice in a Z06 and still come out with less$$$ outlay after an S/C. Still there are sone interesting features like the launch control and driveline upgrades such as the clutch.
Any way you look at it, the bar has been raised for all countries and all price ranges. There are likely some plastic car haters in Germany right now. In a time when Dodge is canning the Viper GM turns out an all-time best performer. Hint to Dodge: use the same engine platform in all your cars. The Hummer has essentially the same engine design.

This proves is for me, I am switching my 1 3/4 's out for
the 1 7/8's. 1 3/4's are great till you get to a point then 1 7/8 are needed!

All of the factory supplied upgrades and engineering is one of the reasons I bought a GT500, rather than a Mustang GT. The same would apply to a ZR1 vs a regular Vette, but I do agree thats it has been made TOO exclusive.
How much boost is the 2.3 TVS making?
I have my TVS spinning 19,000 RPM on a 5.4L and it makes about 18.5psi with a large enough intake tract, 2.65" upper pulley that I make, and 10% OD balancer (about 7.8" diameter).
