Default L-88 Hood with Small Block

Any one out there running a small block and the L-88 Hood with the fresh air chamber? I would like to know what type of air cleaner set up you might be running and if you bonded the chamber to the hood.
Will be installing mine soon wish me luck. :chevy

I am running the L-88 air cleaner assembly on top of an inch and half high air cleaner spacer to reach the hood. I have an edelbrock performer manifold and a q-jet, but I will be putting on a road demon in the next week. As it sits right now it seals to the hood, but is about a half an inch off of center.

I'm using a Holley Street Dominator manifold, a Holley 750 carb and a 1 inch TD carb spacer. This raises the carb to the correct height to mate with the chamber. I bonded the airchamber by first using 5-10 min. epoxy and then finally using fiberglass resin. Worked out pretty good.

For the air cleaner assembly, I'm using an original L-88 unit. Here's a pic.

Thanks for all the help. One more question. Where did you buy your base units at?

I bought mine at Corvette World in Greensburg PA. Try there, and Paragon or Zips.
