LOVE THAT CHIRP !!!!!!!
Just got my car back today from having the TH-350 rebuilt. Had a new stall converter installed, B&M shift kit, and a new vacuum modulator.
Love those tires "chirping" going from 1st gear to 2nd gear. All I did was leave it in drive and put the pedal to the metal !!
Thanks guys for all your help, especially JerryP58.

all you need is a shift kit to get it chirpin...the TQ converter just helps some...and yes, you can chirp 180 HP....I wouldn't see why not.

I can chirp first to second reasonably easily.
I chirped second to third once at the track. That one freaked me out. :D

Got to get mine rebuilt, too. What size converter did you install and which shift kit? The $40 on or the more expensive? I also heard they would make normal driving a neck snapping uncomfortable situation. :( I think your sig was a 77 L48, correct? Stock or built?
Thanks for the help! :chevy

Re: LOVE THAT CHIRP !!!!!!! (DP77Vette)
actually once you get used to it, for normal driving, you do things with the peddle to make it shift less hard...I know it seems weird, but for some reason under normal driving if I press the gas to hard it chirps them, if I don't press it hard enough, it shifts pretty bad, but if the peddle is in the right spot, its not to bad... my car is odd.

shift kits are  . Mine chirps for both gear changes.
I would much rather tyres screaming & smokin but chirps are fine for now. :)
