For Sale: 1985 Z51, 4+3, Lingenfelter
I've owned this car since 1992. I'm the third owner, this car has been pampered for the past 18 years. It's incredibly clean. 55,8XX miles. It has been a weekend car only, hence the low miles. Silver Exterior, Carmine (Red) Interior. Glass Top. All documentation and records. Always garaged. Paint is original except for the front and rear bumbers, which I had re-done due to fade over the years. This car is totally sorted from top to bottom. Here are the particulars:
Powertrain:
Lingenfelter Superram Intake, Runners, Plenum
Lingenfelter 213 hydraulic flat tappet cam
Lingenfelter 52mm throttle body
Ported MAF
Lingenfelter AFPR
Double roller timing set
Crane aluminum roller rockers (1.5), hardened pushrods
TFS 195cc aluminum heads
160 deg thermostat
K&N filter
10.25:1 Compression ratio
TPIS full-length ceramic coated headers
Performance exhaust
4+3 overdrive replaced with blueprinted later model unit @ 50kmi
Suspension/Brakes
Lowered 1"
All new eurethane bushings throughout car
New ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar links
TPIS shocks
Brakes rebuilt with new O-rings, bleeders, ceramic pads
Performance Street alignment
Wheels/Tires:
ROH ZS Alloys (17x9.5) - liquid silver with machined lip
Summitomo 275/45ZR17 HTZRII tires (only 8k miles on them)
Interior:
Power Sport Seats w/ adj lumbar and bolster
New Kenwood CD Receiver with IPOD hook up
New Sony Xplod speakers
Misc:
Recently converted A/C to R-134 with new filter/dryer, orifice tube, total system flush and vacuum check.
From the attached dyno sheet and video, you can see this car makes 270 RWHP/ 316 RWTQ. (@ 90 deg F ambient) The A/F ratio is a very safe 12:1, so there is power to be gained with some fuel/spark tuning . I built the car to be a reliable, high performing street car, and it is. It sounds awesome, is fast and handles awesome. It could easily be a serious Auto-X or weekend road course car.
I'm asking $8,900, which includes all the original parts (wheels, tires, intake, runners. plenum, throttle body, exh manifolds, heads, cam, lifters, Bose radio and speakers) and a car cover. If you have any questions, ask. I check my PM's regularly or e-mail raymond.drake92@gmail.com

Air pump and system are all functional minus the tube that goes down to the cat ( didn't fit well with the long tube headers). Easy enough to run a braided line down, however. I opted not to - VA has no emissions testing.

Yes - the were all sanded down and painted to match. I used a hi temp metallic silver from the local auto parts store that matched closely to the original valve cover color. Testors model paint is key for touching up the corvette emblem.

Price reduced to $8,900. Yes, I realize the market is slow, but think about all the money you would spend to bring a stock C4 to this level. If you pick up a pristine low mile 85 for $6-7k and want to do get it to this level, you are going to put a minimum of $7-10k into it. $8,900 is a bargain.

Too bad you seem to be in a hurry. It's a great deal. If I didn't have one, I'd buy it in a second. How soon do you have to sell it? I'm 1/2 tempted to buy it and just sell mine.

How soon are you moving?
270 rwhp, that translates to what about 330 chp?
Any idea what it would turn in the 1/4?
I've been looking at C5s, I have an unmodded 87, but this car is a heck of a deal.

Using approx 15% driveline loss, you're looking at 320 hp at the crank. Have not run it in the 1/4, so I'd only be guessing.

Damn, I hope I find a deal like this in the spring! Sweet car. I believe I have seen your car at the Oceana hobby shop before....

Would you take $ 7,500 for this car? If so I will pick it up next weekend.
