When I put the heater blower on high speed the rear defogger light comes on and blower motor goes off. What should I change first. The switches look and feel good and I checked for a short in the wires and found none. Thanks for any help.

Funny you mentioned this....I have a similar problem with my 78, but here's the twist. When I turn on the heat and put the blower on high, everything is fine. But as soon as I turn the rear defroster on, the blower for the heat inside the car cuts off. Then when I turn the defroster off, the heat blows fine again. Any advice? I'm no electrical man, and don't even know where to begin.

Think I found my problem! Wires and connecter are burned and melted at the high speed relay under the hood. Will change tomorrow and see if the problem is corrected or if this was caused by another short somewhere.
