Tach circuit board - 76
I installed my new tach circuit board yesterday but it did not fix the problem, tach needle doesn't budge when engine running. The tach filter has been removed sometime in the past and I have checked the electrical inputs, all are working fine. The new circuit board gets hot very quickly when the engine starts, like 10 seconds. The old board had several of the solder connections burnt. Any ideas? Thanks!

Like to help, but if you are not an ET, it's hard to....
I am, but trying to tell you how to use a voltmeter, and or measure a diode or circuit board is really hard, near impossible over typing internet...
even more so over the phone....
if you don't know what you are looking at, and able to 'dope' it out, then it's a hard spot....
you need someone in your local vette club to help out....every club must have a geek member somewhere...;-)))
