Finally! New pulleys and fan are installed.....pics inside
Well, i was having some serious problems ever since my belts and fan clutch went bad. Did the whole run around trying to find the new clutch, got pulleys but didnt line up, said screw the clutch and got a flex-a-lite, and ended up adding washers behind the mount for the PS pump, and a washer behind the alternator pulley. Finally its all together, looks great, and can feel a slight difference...especially over the bad fan clutch. Here a few pictures...

Looks good. Since you removed the clutch have you noticed a decrease in horsepower since the fan is always running ?

Re: Finally! New pulleys and fan are installed.....pics inside (ScubaJKD)
Thanks guys....
ScubaJKD, no I havent....i only drove it once, but the idea is that the flex-a-lite, is extremely light weight. And there is no drag at high RPMs cause the fan flexs. Given those 2 things i would presume it would gain HP, and it feels like it did to me. Problem is, i dont know which was the real HP gainer...the pulleys or the fan?? Could i have gained even more HP if i kept a fan clutch?? dunno  Dont really care though cause the flex fan looks  and still cools fine.

Precision cut edges may be sharp. Wear long sleeves & gloves while installing or working around the fan.

Oops, sorry-meant to get this in on the last post...
How's the noise level with the flex-a-lite? I ask because my fan is also clutch-less right now, and people have told me they can hear the fan pushing air while I'm driving by(I can't really tell over the noise of the pipes).

hey 427_Roadster, i know what your are talking about with the noise of all of the air being pushed cause when my fan clutch went bad, thats what it sounded like....annoying IMO.
With the flex-a-litte the noise level is about the same as with a clutch style fan.....I have heard claims from some that they whine, but i only hear a slight odd noise (doesnt sound like whining to me) and this noise is just the fan spinning/flexing, but once the hood is closed it sounds no different than any other car.

Hey, but you forgot the aluminum alternator bracket!! j/k
Looks good. Are they March pulleys?
I've heard that Rustang owners will use those fan blades in a suicide attempt after losing to a C-3...
