C3 Bashing going on in the C5 Section
Over in the C5 section, there is some bashing going on towards our C3s.
The thread is called "Corvette Clubs".
One guy called C3s "BEATERS", and another guy asked, " who would EVER want to own a C3?"
I just can't believe or Corvette Brothers can be so ignorant, and disrespectful.

Oh well to each his own. I may have a c5 one day,(not any time soon) but I will not bash the c3 ever. This car does require attention. When I am out in it, it grabs everyones attention. Unlike.........

I am beginning to think that many owners of C5's believe Vettes did not become truly "worthy" of their admiration until the C5. It is a shame :(

Yeah Eddie, I remember when you bought yours a few years ago!!! I also want to get a C5...but I am trying to figure out a way I can have both. Wish my kids would grow up and move out!! Man, they are only 5yo and 10yo...LOL

I think most of the comments were jokes but still...
I think most of the c5 owners here at the corvetteforum are real car guys but alot of people I see around town in c5's just look like they have no clue about cars. I'm not saying I don't like c5's because I do it is just that alot of people buy them because they are having a midlife crisis.

However, I do always wave to the towtruck driver or flatbead driver when I see a C5 being hauled back to the dealer for repair!!!:seeya

Eric, no offense, but I think you might have taken too much offense :lol: . I do think at least that Dave68's comment (with the smiley beer mugs) might have been joking. Especially with the Dave68 name....maybe he has a 68? I am not sure about TORCH99's, but it's really hard to get their meaning over an internet post. I think they are maybe referring more to the people in their clubs moreso than the cars themselves. Just another perspective.

No, but I have seen some C3's that would definitely qualify as beaters :eek: . Actually, I was thinking maybe he was talking more about the owners of the cars than the cars themselves....hard to say....like I said, it's hard to interpret stuff on the net.

Everyone is free to follow the link and read it for interpretation. I am not losing sleep tonight...but comments like that are uncalled for...what do you think I was even doing in there forum? I respect there cars and have interest in them too.
