guys, i was settin across from this girl at school today, somehow we got into cars...she didnt know what i drive, and a guy mentioned it, and she said she hated corvettes, this wasnt a be mean to flirt, this was from the heart.

i walked across the room and sat down instead of saying anything. what would you have done?

I probably would have laughed...and told her to stop denying her feelings for me. and that it was unhealthy to deny what she felt toward me and my car.

KrAzYsNiPeR, you missed a golden opportunity because you let your pride in your wheels get in the way of your thinking.

If you'd asked the poor soul why she hated Vettes, she would have either a) had no reason, in which case she looks like an idiot or b) given you an explanation for her remarks. If she went with option b, you could have addressed her concerns point by point. For all you know, her best girlfriend could have been killed by an irresponsible driver in a Vette, which would tend to jade one's opinion, right?

But you'll never know because you dropped the ball, buddy. The only way to salvage a point on the play is to approach her again, with pride turned off, and ask why!

Who knows- maybe you'll end up making an interception and scoring a t-d!

You did the right thing. If she hates or even doesn't LOVE Corvette why would you / could you like her?

There are girls out there that like what you like ( in all areas), are are willing to show it!

That would've been my choice! And she most likely couldn't tell the difference between a Corvette and a Chevette. She'll probably change her mind if she sees your C3.

For what it's worth my dauther is in high school, and tried so hard to talk me out of buying a vet:confused: . I don't think she knew what one was or something. Anyway the night I brought it home she flipped out, she thought it was the neatest car ever, the expression her face was unforgetable.:eek:

Now she wants rides to school and to picker her up whenever I can. :D

I would have respected her opinion...just as I do everyone else's. You have to realize that not everyone likes Corvettes, and there isn't much you are going to do to change their mind. I'm the curious type so I would have probably asked her why she feels that way about Corvettes. :cheers:

My granddaughter just graduated highschool. Everyone else at her graduation wanted limos. She wanted to know if she could borrow my C3. I live in SE Oklahoma and she's just outside of Dallas. She cried her eyes out when as soon as she worked up the nerve to ask me on the phone and I said "Why sure nuff "Little girl"! I had her drive up here to get it. She was the hit of the dance. Just goes to show there is no accounting for good taste. BTW, the car is fine!

nah, shes butt ugly, i should have asked her why she didnt like them, took a chick out tonight though, shes hot and likes the vette, not obsessive, but she likes it...(maybe even more than me?? :lol: )
