I finally got my bought my dream Vette.
After many years of dreaming and searching I just bought my first Vette. It is a 78 Pace Car L82 4 speed. I always wanted one when I was a teenager but could never afford one. Well here is my dream car. It should have it in about a week.

Dayum! That's great! :D Are you planning on having it NCRS judged? I'll bet they would have an absolute BALL looking at that fine car. And with such low mileage learn a bunch too. :cool:

Welcome to the C3 family!! Man that Pace Car is awesome. I was a senior in high school when they came out. And have always wanted one. Maybe one day I will!!
Plus it has the best of both worlds....an L82....and a 4 speed!!!
Do you plan to drive it? Or trailer it to shows?

Let's burn some rubber. That is my dream car also. I never could find one in my price range. After looking high and low, I decided to go for a 78 I could modify. One year latter a Pace car sells two miles from my house for $2500. :mad That's how it go's. Congrats :cheers:

That is an incredible looking car. I saw one for sale at a dealer a few weeks ago with 3 - yes 3 - miles on it. It had never been registered and the dealership want $125,000 for it.

When my father worked for a Chevy dealership in Kansas in 78, one of the managers bought a pace car, drove it home and tucked it away in his garage. It had less than 20 miles on it last I heard. I wonder where it is now.
