they look so cool but cost so big any pics? :eek:

you can get the sidepipe sound without the big price with mid-americas chambered pipes....last I knew abt 400 bucks.........I got 'em and they be nice :D :D :D

If you fab up your own, and then get the fiberglass repro covers, you could probably do it for under a grand. The sidepipes themselves aren't hidously expensive, it is the factory stainless steel covers are the real killer.

I put up a WTB ad on the parts for sale forum and got a responce in a matter of days with offers on 2 Hooker sidepipe systems under 500.00. E-Bay is also a source that some people have used. During the time that I was shopping there was a complete small block system from cast iron manifold to sidepipe covers for 700.00.

If only the factory covers were stainless, it might be worth all the money.
Factory covers are "pot" metal (like aluminum casting), and chrome plated.
Very prone to pitting. Stone marks will develop into "scabs" if not
cleaned/waxed on a regular basis.

You can buy SS original style with fiberglass covers for less than a grand from **klers. The set I have were $940 US and included free delivery.

JC Whitney's have a set on their website that's under $200 and they actually look fairly good. You'll have to attach them to your existing ramhorns or get headers to go with them, of course.
