Default Headers and Spark plugs

I went to change my plugs on my ZZ4 for the first time today. I found the front plug on the passenger side wont let a socket by the headers. I would rather find a trick than loosen my headers to change the plug. At least if I have to loosen them it is on the easy side.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Try a box end or a line wrench on the plug itself.
What I finally ended up with is a cut down spark plug socket that I can turn with an open end wrench.
Get a set of the shorty plugs, they also have screw off tips that helps a little more.

Paul,

I have the same problem, and the best way I found to change the front plugs is using a "telescopic socket", like this one, sold by Eastwood:

I had the same problem, but I switched to the Accel Header Spark plugs they a re shorter then a normal plug so they just give you the clearance to switch them in and out with out loosening the headers.

Hey!,

I cut a 5/8" deep socket in half and welded a 6" handle at an angle to the open ended piece. It works great for almost all header set-ups and it can get into the tightest of places. I also use AC FR3LS spark plugs.
