Default Will these Mickey Thompson tires fit?

A local tire shop brought in a set of Mickey Thompson Indy Profile S/S
Hot and Sticky street strip tires for a customer who now is not buying them. The tire shop has offered them to me for cost.
I am looking for some sticky street strip tires but do not know if these are to big or not.
They are the L60-15 which is a 275/60/15 conversion.
Stats are;
Approved rims, 7-10,
Measuring Rim 10,
Sidewall width 12.3,
Tread width 9.5,
Overall diameter 28,
Aprox weight 37.
Currently I am running BFG TA 255/60/15
Stats are;
Approved rims 6.5-10
Measuring rim 7.5
Section width 10.2
Tread width 8.2
Overall diameter 27.1
Weight?
Will these Mickey Thompson S/S tires fit or will I have to do some mods like relocating the emergency brake brackets?
Should I consider another tire completely?
Let me know what you think.

I don't know what year your vette is but my 69 took 275/60/15s only after I moved the Ebrake bracket from the swing arm. when you let the pressure down on those the bracket will slice right thru the back. also with that much grab expect to break the rear end and tranny parts :flag

L60 15 is a bias ply ( I think ) tire, good for going in straight line not good around corners :D

Want spme good cheap traction, move your ebrake cable and slap on a pair
of BFG 295's

My car is a 76 coupe.
Are there any other tires out there that will give considerably better traction than my BFG TA's and not break everything?

The slicks should fit, may stick out a bit, but should fit. Slicks are like baloons. The basically have no sidewalls. You can shake a car with slicks back and forth and watch the sidewalls bounce back and forth like a bowl of jello. My concern is that with all that bouncing you coud have potential blowout hazards, and not just from the park brake cable. There's a leaf spring there too with sharp edges. You may want to try some drag radials. Nitto makes them too.

I would suggest if these are at all for the street, going with the BGF drag radials. They will stick when you want them to. Sizes available are 235/60/15 275/60/15 275/50/15 ... and on up to 315/50/15 . 275/60/15 will keep you same height and won't effect the speedo. But you will need to move the ebrake brakcet. Not a big deal... Without moving the bracket you could use the 235s but IMHO they are too small. another option is to change the rims to 16 or 17s and go with Nittos or some other brand. More expensive thought. For the strip I found having the 15 inch rims gives you more tire flex and grabs better that Nittos on a 17 inch. Hope this helps... :flag

I'm running Mickey Thompson Sportsman I's L-60x15. If you do get them what are you going to run up front? (mis-match) :cool: As for traction the one's I'm running are OK but, I have a bit of a traction problem with which every tire I seem to use :D

i put a set of 28 / 12.50 / 15 MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREETS on my car and all i had to do was relocate the e-brake cable which was simple and for every day driven i run 275/60/15 bfg radial t/a's i personally wouldnt run that style mickeys that u are lookin at i have heard some horror stories on them for instance they wear out fast and do not run smooth once they get cold and they are real squrmy for everyday driven :cheers: :cheers: just my
.02 cents worth they look cool though :cool:
