1/4 mile time guesstimates for my car.
Does anybody have a program that can give a rough estimate of 1/4 mile times. I don't see my car moving any time in the near future but it is on my mind. See the following thread for my cars stats: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=206741
Thanks,
Thanks,

Mike:
I do not have a program to figure out your 1/4 mile time but there are a lot of variables that need to be taken into account. What kind of tires, what transmission & rear end gearing, vehicle weight with driver, track conditions.
IMO with an above average type street tire, I feel that your car should easily run high 12s (that is a conservative estimate, I think it's capable of better). I'm sure some other members will chime in after a while.

This isnt really fair, because you wont be able to give us an answer anytime soon! If you were heading to the strip next weekend (well... why dont you?? :) ) we would be lining up placing bets!! :) :) . But..... with your crate engine, and you already have headers.... inexperienced driver with a 4 spd.... I'm going to say your best time for the first 3 or 4 runs will be 13.6ish. That is assuming you dont go crazy with additional mods or even optimize the carb and distributor timing.
This very specific guess comes from someone with almost no actual experience! :) MJ

Hi Mike...
This is not exactly what you requested, however you can play with the numbers to get close. http://www.angelfire.com/fl/procrast...n/quarter.html
