Put the body back on frame tonight.. By myself!
Well I received the body jacks I ordered from Shaggy, and I grot some energy tonight.. and decided to tackle the body... well in about an hour it was back on! and I did it by myself (Was a little nervous but it all worked out).
My G/F was watching (incase something bad happened)...
Anyway those jacks are great! I had 8 guys over here to take that body off and it was still heavy/shaky!
Here is a pic, I know I didn't detail the underbody, I will end up cleaning/painting the wheel wells, but thats it, I am not worried about the underbody, I am making this car a solid driver... The frame and all mechanicals/suspension are all done..

Bill,
Congradulations on a job well done!!! Send me a e-mail where you got the jacks and how much they run. If you got any other pics send them on. I am really interested for I am at that stage on my 78 Anniversary. Good looking job there..Did you build a monster motor??

Very interesting. Lets see some more pictures of the process if you have any!
Is the nose on the jack in the pic as just a temporary measure? I mean, you weren't jacking with that right?
Wow, I can't believe only one jack per side???

Those side jacks look pretty easy to make....hmmmmm...a boat trailer winch...some pipe...a pully on top...some flat stock.....dang...now im thinking about pulling my body off!!

Well done, I´m thinking of lifting the body at the moment.
Everything prepared, cradle for the spare frame that hosts the body built yesterday.......
Sorry, no Pics available at the moment, will take some the next days. :seeya

Those are pretty cool jacks!
Didn't even know it was possible without a lift...

Yes the wheels are resting on the ground (spare wheels that aren't to nice)
I actually rolled the frame under the body with those wheels..
I bought the lifts from member "Shaggy", not sure where he got them...
they are basically a winch, pulley, base, steel pipe.. The only part that is machined (alum) is the pulley bracket at the end of the rod, and I am sure that could be made from steel..
anyone else seen these before? It really did make the job much easier!

Take some more pics of the stands and post them if you would. I would like to make a set of them. After I use them I am sure someone else would like them.

Those jacks look like the ticket. Nice Job! A friend a I put mine back on the 73 today with 2 come-alongs hanging from a beam supported by scoffolding . It took over an hour just to build the support. It took us about 2 hours total, and it does make me nervous to see body hanging in the air by a couple of cables. Craig
