ylose, got a question for you. . .
On your website, one of the mods you've listed for the future is 2" high intensity driving lights. Have you found a small light that can replace the headlights? Or are they going to be in addition to your existing lights?
I'm interested because I intend to do away with my headlights and mount some new ones in a custom grill. The smallest lights I've found in my searches are the ones GM put on the mid 90's Grand Prix (4 total @ 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" each). :)

Hope you guys had a good Christmas. I am in NC and am starting to have Vette Withdraws  Did you get your grill yet? Just wondering. Be safe tonight and say Hi to the Family

I picked up some driving lights...they are about 2 inches wide and half as high.
they can be used as driving lights and project 60 % farther than current lights.
I am mounting them under front...in that opening I have in my front spoiler..
mounting them out of sight...but they project very well...
I will take pics when i get a chance,.
also...I bought some black outs for the front parking lamp vents ...
will take pics of those too.

Sorry, but I'm still confused, so they can be used in lieu of headlights, or just a great quality fog light???????

in ieu? hehe
they are driving lights....not fog lights...so I will wire them in with my normal
driving lights, giving me 4 beams with normal and leaving the high beams
alone to work as normal function. They come with a switch so you can turn them off or on...this I will hide under the dash, as when its in the on position they will come on and off with the driving lights...
they are a neat setup...

I'm planning on glassing my nose and a front spoiler to the car, removing the license plate verticals and having a custom grill made for a very sleek look. With that in mind, I've been looking into relocating my headlights into the grill and glassing the headlight doors smooth.
This way I can get the custom look I'm after and drop some weight at the same time. :D

I kind of like the pop-ups but I have thought about how it would look if small rectangular headlights were used in the the pop-up housing. Then the pop-up would only need to raise about 3" high if you used small lamps like the ones that you spoke of "mid 90's Grand Prix (4 total @ 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" each)"
The overall dimension of the headlight door could me reduced as well. Instead of the current ~15" X ~10" with round BIG round lights they could be ~15" X ~5" with small rectangular lights.
I think it would look great.
Just-a-thought. . .
For the actuation, vacuum/mechanical or electric... I didn't think about it for that long :D
