The vette I picked up has the fixed rectangular dual head light set up in, what years can I get the correct assemblies out of and what else in the system is likely to be missing?

68 to 74 are essentilly the same. There was a change in the support housing for 75 but all other components are essentially the same.

Be careful when looking at 1968 headlight housings...

There were three styles of 1968 headlight doors. Depending upon how early in 1968 production the car was built, these doors could be anywhere from ½" smaller (first design) to a ¼" smaller (second design) than the third design, which is what was used in your 1969. These bezels will leave a rather large and unsightly gap between the headlight door and the upper surround.

If you wish to retain the headlight washer system that was standard equipment on all 1969 Corvettes, you'll need to find the correct bezels with the "D" shaped holes to mount the washer nozzels (these can also be drilled into standard bezels if you desire).

While there are some minor detail differences between late 1968-1982 housings, they are still basically the same and from strictly a function standpoint, all should work in your 1969.
