Default Physical help required in Michigan.

Hi
I'm interested in a used L88 crank, rods and pistons offered by somebody
from Michigan area in Troy. Is somebody a bit knowledgeable in engine parts from this area willing to check this up for me ?
I'm from Luxembourg in Europe and it's realy not possible for me now to do this myself.
I like to install it into a used standard bored block and due to both parts being used, I need somebody with some measuring knowledge to find any wear and get some diameter measurements in order for me to see if it would still be ok for the used block's bores.
My 68 big block convertible presently has a no^n original 454 engine installed and I like to reinstall a hi performance engine to match the RPM ind red line.
Have a happy new year. Günther :D

Hi Günther!

The radio is still at 25 E!

Have you checked the Big Block interchange manual for the fitting of the parts?
I have a german friend living in the troy area, an engineer serving our company over there.
I´ll try to get in contact with him, where exactly does he need to go to?

Mail me if you like!

Hi
Thanks for the offer. I'm right now in doubt again if installing used engine guts into a used block would be a good idea.
I first need a block to get measurements before I can go for the guts due to possible oversizes required.
The attached pic shows why I want a hi-performer engine again.
I'm afaright to rev the 454 block with the iron crank that high.
I did bid on this radio, but am still very afraight that the price will raise enormeously at the end of the auction.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the info.
I wish you a happy and prosperous new year.
