Default Clutch thunk

Just ran Vaal to get some lunch and when I depressed the clutch I heard and felt a small thunk. I suspect the ball studs on the z-bar are shot. Anybody have any other theories before I brave the cold concrete to check it out?

How cold is it out there in OK? We've just had some of our 1st cold days out here. Its been incredibly warm here so far. Sometimes cold weather can make things more creeky and clunky. The road feels harded and the suspension feels harder. Ive seen pressure plates with snapped of tines before. I suppose when metal gets cold enough its more prone to cracking.

We've had it pretty easy too but today is hanging in the mid to upper 30's. I really would prefer not to hassle with this until it warms up some, but I'm afraid this clunk could become a clatter - as in parts rolling down the road. If its just the ball stud, it probably can wait a few days.
