HELP!!!!! MOTOR? I NEED ONE
I went to put a new timing chain on my 82 vette. When we got to the bottom timing spocket. It was real hard to get off! Then i look up and the Crank was moving in and out about a 8th of a inch. What could it be thrust plate? Or a new Crank. or a new motor? :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

It ain't great, but I"ve seen other Pontiac engines run strong like that for a LONG time, assuming oil pressure is fine, .....

Before you get excited get a dial indicator on the crank and see exactly how much it is moving, then check the specs from a Haynes or Chiltons...

thank ill check it out. I have had the car for 3 weeks and it been it the shop the whole time havent even drive it. Thanks again Dewayne
