weep hole
Where is it? I've used my little flashlight and mirror to go all over the water pump and I can't find the weep hole. :(
It's leaking somewhere and I have a feeling it's the water pump, but I can't confirm it yet...
Any pointers? Can I even see it from the top with a mirror?

Depending on design, one is on top, and another is on the bottom of the bearing tower- hidden by the pulley.

The hole is probably about 1/4 in. and it should be on the casting nose behind where the fan plate is.usually they are on the bottom but sometimes are on the side.If it is leaking at weap hole then you will see signs from coolant leaking from hole on the water pump casting. Also take hold of fan and see if fan has side to side or up and down movement.Movement means bearings have gone bad in water pump which usually ends up with water leaking out of weap hole or from nose where shaft comes out.

Re: weep hole (Techno)
I felt for mine and found it fine. It doesn't matter if you can see it, just if its wet on the bottom side of the pump ( you don't actually have to find the hole). That means the pump is going bad.
