1994 Copper - FOR SALE
Selling my 1994 Copper Coupe Corvette. Pretty car with a brand new MSD VENTED OPTISPARK installed....
Brand new Meziere electric waterpump installed. Taylor wires and new plugs (NGK). Tires in very good condition. Have crossbar but never installed it.
What is wrong with the car? It gets a "SYS" blink that I"ve not put any time into figuring out yet. Doesn't seem to affect anything though. The horn stopped working and the remote door lock won't program into the programmer although I have a functional remote. The antenna needs a kit put in it too.
Mechanically, it is in excellent condition, and pretty with only 63K miles. Will throw in a two binder set of manuals (red books) vol 1 & 2
Asking $15K

No it's not, although you can give the vin to a chevy dealer and get a printout of what the car left the factory with, the info is not in the vin itself, for example. Your Vin will look just like this cept the last 5 and maybe the check digit.
1 Country or origin (america)
G Company (GM)
1 Carline (Chevrolet)
Y Model (Corvette)
Y Basically trim (base corvette) ZR1 would be Z
2 Bodystyle (coupe) convertible is 3
2 Type of restraint (airbag)
P Engine code (LT1)
1 Check digit (don't know what varies this, if at all)
R Year (94)
5 Production plant (Bowling Green)
1 This is a series number and would vary for cars that they make more than 100,000 of
0 The rest are in the order of production off the line. mine is 00473 so it is the 473rd regular Vette off the production line in 94.

Nowhere is there color, it is simply linked to your Vin with Chevy records, there is not a code itself on the Vin. The full paint code is on the RPO sheet under your console lid.

Yeah! You could be right. I know it's verified on some numbers under the armrest. Thought it was the VIN.
This car has a perfect CARFAX report and looks beautiful. Some minor upgrades like the new OPTI and Waterpump make the engine sing and enhances reliability over the long haul.

Yes it is true. This color came out in 94 and it is rare. I have seen a 94vert. in this exact color combo and it looks sweet!

I don't know about pricing but I will say this . . . . Temptation abounds here. That is a very nice color and I would consider it rare not just for '94 (only 116 of more than 23,000 C4s, I think) but over the whole of Corvette history. It seems Copper is not overused in any of the years it is/was used. It is, IMHO, one of the best colors on a C4. As a matter of fact, I'm not coming back to this thread, I can't stand the temptation. Good Fortune on the sale.

Well, amazingly, this car gets better gas mileage than my Nissan Maxima. I get about 33 mpg.
But I understand the economy being bad. The whole mood of our country is somewhat gloomy right now, especially with no good candidate for our next president.
