Does anyone have some rear gears for sale?
I am looking for 3.55 or 3.70, 3.73 gears.
Does anyone have a good set for sale?
Thanks.
Merry Christmas all.

The Corvette gears are not available in 3.73 ratio. This is from the other GM rears. 3.90 is a vette gear also. You either want 3.55 3.70 or 3.90. I have some broken 4.11 gears

I have a set of 3.55 Richmond Gears that I ordered from SummitRacing (part # RMG-4900211) that I'll sell. They fit 63-79 vettes. Send me an e-mail or respond to this thread. I'll will not be back on the forum until Thursday night.

Red73,
I'm thinking of going to the 3:55......were these gears too high for you? Why did you switch to 3:73?.....your gears will not fit in my 8T1, however I'm just wondering if I should go straight to the 3:73 and by pass the 3:55 .....right now 8T1 smokes 17 wheels/tires out of hole with the 2:88 gears ET's 13.4 @ 105....figured 3:55 with drag radials should have me down into the 12's...what do you think? Happy Holidays to you and your family...Aloha Cappy :seeya

Re: Does anyone have some rear gears for sale? (8T1-7T9 BIONIC VETTE)
Cappy, the 3.55s are new in the box and never used. I bought them and then decided to go with the 3.73s. If I was to do it again I would go with 3.90s. You'll notice a difference switching from 2.88s to 3.55s or 3.73s. What tranny do you have in your 8T1?

John,
I have a complete differential unit from Mid-America with NEW 3.70 gears installed. The unit has about 1,000 miles on it. I ended up using a 3.08 unit since I installed a Richmond six speed. I would sell it outright for $600........ with NO core required........ plus shipping....
It is the '63-'79 style unit..........
Let me know...

Looking for $500 on the 4.11 rear. The previous owner installed a 3.08 for better gas mileage, but gave me the 4.11. He might have given me a receipt showing it was rebuilt at some point, I'll look for it. Email me at barry.firebaugh@digex.com if you're interested.

Re: Does anyone have some rear gears for sale? (Red73)
Rod,
I bought a TH400 beefed up to the max with the 2:75 first gear in it....however after looking at what it would take to install....I nix the idea and decided to go for the rear end since it was a drop in job, verses the trans change out, which would have presented major mods to install. Now I'm stuck with a TH400. I don't want to go too low with the rear gears since wheels are smoking out of the hole already. But I sure would like to have the extra umph maybe 3:55 would give from a stop light without rev'ing the engine to 2000 rpm launch speed at the drag strip........Aloha Cappy :seeya

Hey Fireball,
I sent you an email a couple of days ago about that 4.11 rear. I want it if you still have it for sale. Email me.
